Hey everyone! In addition to using the blog for my usual posts, I decided (for now) that I would use WordPress for everyone to keep up with everything that has been going on in regards to my internship and support raising, ministry, and personal life changes. These will be posted every 1-2 months, so be on the look out for them! If you would like to be emailed these updates, please comment with your email in the comment section!
Thank you for caring so much about my life! There’s quite a bit going on, so I will try to keep it short and sweet while still trying to explain how this last semester of college is turning out! Here’s an involvement rundown.
Full-Time Redeemer Internship
I have accepted a full-time internship at my church here in Lubbock! This is an awesome opportunity, and I am super grateful for the chance to become a staff member. The internship is a self-supported position, which means that I am going to be raising support so that the church will be able to pay me as a staff member!
As you would think, this is exciting and scary at the same time. Despite my doubts at times, God has been so evident in regards to His provision! I am approaching 40%, which means that I am nearly one year fully supported! How awesome is that? I’m looking forward to what will happen next!
Generation Send & Washington D.C.
This year I have had the opportunity to work for the North American Mission Board and Generation Send as a Mobilizer. A team of 10 college students and I are meeting bi-weekly discussing what it means to live life on mission and growing together as a team. God has blessed me with an awesome team of guys and girls who love the Lord, and this summer we will be applying all that we have learned to obey in the urban context of Washington, D.C.
Obviously, the Capitol is not the same as Hub City. There are not churches on every corner and the name of Jesus is even more irrelevant to the culture. Everyone needs the Gospel, the good news that Jesus lived the life that we could not perfectly, and died the death that we were to die so that we could be reconciled to God and have life in Him! God has chosen our group to bring to D.C. this summer so that we can learn to trust Him with out lives, words, and hopes. He has brought us there to use us as vessels of His good news; proof of redemption.
Foundation Retreat & Men of God Christian Fraternity, Inc.
These two organizations have a special place in my heart, and it is sad that this semester will be my final semester of involvement with both.
Foundation is a camp put on by college students in Lubbock for incoming freshman for Texas Tech, Lubbock Christian, and South Plains Baptist! It is special because it is where I decided to make Jesus my everything when I was a camper. God has grown me so much over the past three years by being on staff and now I am on the Leadership Team. Our vision this year is to equip our staff to make disciples, not only at camp, but for the rest of our lives! Jesus commands every follower to do this in Matthew 28.
If God used Foundation as the vehicle my freshman year, He used M.O.G. as the engine! I will save my words for M.O.G. another day, but just know that it has been bittersweet reflecting on what God has done to someone like me using a small fraternity founded in Lubbock, Texas. I will always be M.O.G.

- Please pray that the Lord would continue to use these Foundation and M.O.G. to make disciples and that they would grow beyond our greatest dreams.
- I cannot list everything that I have going on, just know that life can get hectic for me sometimes, especially being without a car right now. Please pray that I would rest in the Lord and see Him as my source of life when I am drained.
